We have had some updates at the Mechsner house recently. Just wanted to show some pics.

Now…a little kitchen update. For the last 3 months I have slowly been painting the cabinets, adding backsplash, and making small updates to our kitchen. It is still very much a work in progress. The breakfast cabinets aren’t painted, there is no hardware, we are deciding on counter tops….it just goes on and on. But the difference of the three photos shows me how long we have come. A few details for those that might be inspired ….. the white back splash is wall paper, the back splash behind the oven is tile, the curtains we made by my mom and myself, (I was drawn to the fleur de lis design), the cabinets were primed once and painted twice, and the oven and light fixtures were painted by appliance spray paint. I am inspired by this blogger/designer, and am slowly interpreting the soft french/country with an airy feel. I love walking into a house and feeling refreshed!
