Wow!! I can’t believe we have a 15 month old! Caden is so much fun at this age, we are loving it!!

He went for his 15 month check up yesterday and the doctor said he is doing great! He has actually lost a few ounces since the last visit, but the doctor wasn’t worried, he said it was probably because he had been sick. I assured the doctor that when Caden is not sick, he eats like a pig!! So his weight is 22lbs 11oz which puts him at 25% and his height is 30.5in which puts him at 32%. And he no longer has one of the biggest heads for his age, he is at 14% now! The doctor says he is becoming more proportional and his healthy and strong!

The doctor also noticed within the 30 minutes of being with Caden that Caden is VERY independent and into EVERYTHING!!! I could only agree. ha! He also asked how Caden’s temper was, and I responded with “gets upset easily, but easily gets distracted from whatever is causing him to be upset.” It really is quite funny to see him get so worked up one second and then the next be as happy as ever.

My dearest Caden, I do hope one day you can look back on these blogs and get a glimpse of how much you have blessed your Dad and me. We love being your parents and watching you explore the world. Here are some things that you are up to these days:

- You love to read one bible story every night with Daddy
- when you get tired, you either find your blanket and lay on it – no matter where it is, or you bring it to one of us wanting us to put it on our shoulder and then hold you so you can put your head on the blanket..it is the sweetest thing. We love when you are cuddly like that.
- You now say bye bye clear as day, and when dad leaves you always walk him to the door and watch him leave and then a soon as he drives away or wave and say bye bye!
- You love to show us where your belly button is
- You love to brush your teeth (I bet that will change one day)
- I am pretty sure that your favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear, you manage to find that book even if i purposely hide it under all the other books! (can you tell I am tired of reading that book!)
- you like to put a cell phone, real or fake, up to your ear and pretend to talk
- you LOVE chasing the cat around the house and giving Maggie, the dog, hugs
- You like to eat with a fork and spoon, you have the fork mastered, but you still manage to loose any food on the spoon before you get it in your mouth!
- When I am in the study you always come in, point at the yellow highlighters and say “dhat, dhat” then you carry two yellow highlighters around the house for the next hour! (and yes you ONLY want the yellow ones)
- you are becoming a great artist! You come home from Mother’s day out/preschool with some great artwork, I have turned your bedroom door into your masterpiece wall, I am sure it will be covered for many years to come!
- you are walking/running all over the place and when you go real fast you put your arms behind you and stick out your chin, you kinda look like a chicken! haha!
- you have 8 teeth and are working on a few others
- you love puzzles
- When I say lets get ready to go you bring me my shoe or purse
- You like when I put on your socks and shoes, you don’t squirm while I do that at all, at least not yet
- You still love your bath time and you like to blow bubbles with daddy
- You like to put your feet in our shoes
- You love to clap your hands and shake your head when music is on
- You like to make the noise of what a dog says, but it almost sounds like a monkey!!
